We always look forward to performing each year for Christmas at Timms Mill, and this year was no exception. There was free grits samples, cornbread muffins, and hot apple cider. There was also horseback rides for the kids, and a chance to see a working blacksmith shop, cotton gin, and, of course, Timms Mill in action, grinding corn into cornmeal and grits. If you missed the event this year, make plans to join us the first Saturday of December 2020. Thanks to Dr. Wortham for having us be a part of this event. We will see you next year.
We were pleased to be a part Toccoa, GA's ChristmasFest 2019. We want to say thanks to our friend, Patton Wages for filling in on the banjo for this event. ChristmasFest is always fun, and included carriage rides, train rides, holiday shopping, lots of Christmas decorations, and even an appearance from St. Nicholas. We have enjoyed being a part of this event in the past, along with performing at the Ida Cox Music Festival, and also at the Ritz Theatre. Thanks to everyone involved in scheduling the events for including Tugalo Holler. We look forward to performing again in Toccoa, GA.
It was our first time performing at The Lodge at Lake Bowen Commons, and hopefully not our last. We had a blast at BBQ and Bluegrass. Thanks to David Corn for putting on such a great event. It was an honor to share the stage with Backline. They are an outstanding group of musicians, singers, and songwriters. Even more than that, they are some of the nicest folks we have ever met. We look forward to sharing the stage with them again.
Boooo on cold weather! Well not really, but Boo by The Lake WAS pretty chilly last night. In spite of the recent rain and the last minute adjustment to the start time, there were still almost 2,000 people that showed up for the event! Thanks again to Oconee county for inviting us to play again this year!
Wow, what a crazy fun event! We've never ever seen so much candy and so many kids in one place at the same time! Thanks to The Pointe Church for inviting us to be a part of this super-fun event! We're looking forward to next year already!
Thanks to Cathedral of Faith Pastor Barry Barbour and the church family for having us for their homecoming service. It is always a special time to be back at the church that Porkchop's grandfather, Larry Atkins, founded. We also want to thank our friend Scott Hawkins of New Dixie Storm for filling in on banjo for us. It is always fun getting to play with Scott, and if you haven't checked out his band, follow this link to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/scnewdixiestorm
Thanks to all the wonderful folks who welcomed us to First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC this morning. What a powerful message reminding us to Praise the God and Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And last but not least...what a homecoming spread...WOW!
